How to fix:
Navigate to your account page here. Select the “Update” button next to your Account Details. You will need to fill in the following two bits of information:
- Select a role (teacher or student)
- Choose a School or Institution
This will fill in the fields that the checkout page is trying to check.
Why is this happening?
Around August 2017, the site underwent a change that added two custom fields that all new members were required to complete called “Role” and “School or Institution”. Older members had these fields left blank. When making a purchase, the checkout page requires these fields are filled in, but doesn’t provide the means to do so for someone who is already logged in.
